This good quality canteen of cutlery is housed in an attractive oak Jacobean style cabinet. Made by Mappin & Webb, this is a setting for twelve and features bone handled knives. It is in very good condition and substantially intact, missing only a few pieces. It dates from the late 1920's
French walnut two door linen press
French walnut two door linen press. Item 2843.
This French walnut two door linen press is fitted with three fixed shelves and two internal drawers. One drawer is half width and the other is full width. There is also a full width secret drawer fitted to the base which is easily accessible without opening the doors. This piece has retained its warm, mellow original patina. There has been some borer activity in the past, but they are long gone, besides which I have treated it recently to ensure no more activity. It stands 2843mm high, is 1365mm wide and 525mm deep. Mahogany bureau bookcase
Mahogany bureau bookcase. Item 2831.
This very good quality English mahogany bureau bookcase stands 2135mm high, is 1020mm wide and 465mm deep. Below the drop down writing slope are three drawers and two cupboards. Above are two adjustable shelves on either side of the mullioned door. A drawer to the right in the bureau area has room for pens and inkwells. The tooled leather insert in the writing slope is a replacement. When the slope is closed it features panelling with a deeply carved central rosette to match the carving to the top. It dates from around 1900 and has retained its original warm patina

This oak two tier sideboard features heavy carving to the backboard and to the three doors. It stands 1335mm high, is 1380mm wide and 520mm deep. It has retained its original patina and dates from around 1880.
Walnut serving table

This good quality, two tiered walnut serving table was made by W Walker & Sons in London around 1885. It features a very finely pierced gallery to the back and heavy carving and solid brass handles to the front of the single drawer. It has retained its original patina. It stands 1040mm high, is 1140mm wide and is 590mm deep

This very striking round toilet mirror is veneered in flame mahogany and rests on a marble and mahogany base. It stands 685mm high and has been repolished. C 1840.
Art Deco display cabinet

This very striking English Art Deco two door display cabinet is veneered in mahogany and features 2 glass shelves and a mirror back. It also has a drawer below the display area. It stands 1090mm high, is 1150mm wide and 325mm deep. It is in very good condition and dates from the 1930's.
Mahogany fire screen

This mahogany three panel, sliding fire screen dates from around 1840 and has retained its original castors. The finials have been replaced as has the fabric. The fabric was replaced some time ago as evidenced by the slight fading of the front panel. The height is 1320mm, the width 580mm closed(1425mm extended) and the depth is 450mm at the feet. It is in very good condition.

This linen press features highly figured quartered walnut veneer to the single door, which apart from some simple beading to the pediment, is its only ornament. The interior contains 3 adjustable shelves. It has retained its original mellow patina. It stands 1830mm high, is 1125mm wide and 540mm deep. C1850.
Decoupage screen

This three-fold decoupage screen stands 1837mm tall. The frame is of ebonised timber with gilt trim. The decoration is pasted on paper over a hessian backing. It has sustained some damage over the years since it was made around 1890 but it is good condition for its age and character.
Oak hall stand

This imposing, fully restored oak hall stand is 2025mm high, 1155mm wide and 435mm deep. It features a bevelled mirror framed by carved moulding below which is a small shelf. There is another shelf area above a cupboard with more moulding to the door, and plenty of room for umbrellas and walking sticks. It has been repolished and the coat hooks are reproductions. It dates from around 1905.

Standing on turned feet this mahogany four drawer chest features crossbanded flame mahogany veneer to the top drawer. It has retained nearly all of its original patina and has been fully restored. Its height is 1200mm, width 1235mm and the depth is 500mm. C 1840

A very attractive inlaid burr walnut breakfront dwarf bookcase with two glass doors and a central open section, both of which contain adjustable shelving. It is in excellent condition and has retained its original patina. Dating from around 1880 its height is 1115mm, width 1840mm and depth 425mm.
Jacobean style oak dumb waiter

Dating from the 1920's this Jacobean style oak three tier dumb waiter features turned and carved front posts and a carved frieze to the front of the top tier. It has retained its original patina and is in excellent condition. Being of smaller proportions it could be used to display items or even as an attractive stand for a TV or a stereo system. The height is 840mm, the width 920mm and the depth 455mm.
