This hand painted & gilded plate features a central spray of flowers surrounded by a pierced border of deep blue and pale yellow, enhanced by gilding. It is unmarked save for the fractional number 2/9235 and a workmans mark, the number 3. It is attributed to Samuel Alcock and dates from around 1845. There is a very slight loss of gilding to the outside of the central well.
