This Ridgway milk jug is decorated in crimson and gold. There is some minor loss of the gilding. It stands 122mm at the top of the handle. There is an illustration of the jug in plate 134 of Geoffrey Godden's "Ridgway Porcelains". Although it is unmarked it carries the fractional number 2/2342 which places the date around 1830.
