This Barr, Flight and Barr bowl is painted in underglaze blue as the base for the "Japan" fence pattern. For some reason it did not get to the on glaze decoration stage. It is impressed with the Barr, Flight and Barr mark of 1804-13 although Henry Sandon in his book "Flight and Barr Worcester Porcelain" dates the pattern to C1810-15. It is 172mm in diameter and stands 74mm high. . There is a small area inside the bowl where there is a faint discolouration and there are marks to the bottom of the inside where it has been used.
