Silver & Mother-of-pearl page turner
Silver & Mother-of-pearl page turner. Item 2966.
This sterling silver handled page turner features a blade of Mother-of-pearl. Due to the fragility of the blade, these are much rarer than those with more durable blades. Made in Birmingham in 1908, it is in excellent condition, with only a couple of very small nicks in the blade to mar its beauty. Unfortunately my photography skills don't show the blade to its best advantage, but it does possess lovely colour and figure. The whole piece is 255mm long and 20mm wide at the very end of the blade.
