This hand coloured porcelain rack plate is by Royal Doulton and is 268mm in diameter and carries the impressed date of August 1923. The pattern is from an earlier series entitled "Persian A" which was withdrawn during World War 1. This has a different border to the earlier pattern. It is in excellent condition apart from two faint knife marks to the centre.

This Royal Doulton rack plate is decorated with a hand enamelled pattern entitled "Matsumai". The pattern number painted on the reverse is D5115 which is not noted in any of my references-perhaps an unreleased pattern?. It is 263mm in diameter and carries the impressed date for March 1932. Its condition is excellent apart from some crazing.

This attractive Doulton Burslem flow blue plate features an Egyptian river scene and dates from around 1910. It is in very good condition with some crazing. It is 268mm in diameter.

Apart from some crazing this Doulton Burslem willow pattern porcelain charger is in excellent condition. It measures 325mm in diameter and has the impressed date for April 1914.
Royal Doulton Luscian Ware vase

This very attractive Royal Doulton Luscian Ware vase was painted by Walter Slater who later went on to be Art Director at Shelley. One side features white and pink carnations with white daisies while the other side is a mass of white daisies on a green ground. All of this is set off by the cream ground and raised floral gilding to the top and bottom of the vase. It stands 318mm high and has some minor rubbing to the gilding of the handles and some very minor scratches to the body. C1891-1902.

This Royal Doulton cup, saucer & plate is decorated with the hand coloured "Pansy" pattern. It is in excellent condition with its only blemish being some crazing. C1930's.
Royal Doulton beaker

This Royal Doulton beaker is from the Nursery Rhyme A series designed by William Savage Cooper which was introduced in 1903. This beaker features the nursery rhyme "Where are you going to my pretty maid?". The front shows the dandy and the milkmaid while the whole rhyme is printed on the back. It stands 88mm high and dates from the period 1903-32. It has two small chips to the underside, which are barely visible when the piece is standing. There is also some slight rubbing of the gilding to the rim.

This hand coloured Royal Doulton milk jug and sugar bowl is decorated in the "Arvon" pattern. Dating from the early 1930's it is in very good condition apart from some rubbing of the gilding, moreso on the jug.

This hand coloured Royal Doulton cup, saucer & plate is decorated in the colourful "Arvon" pattern. Other than some rubbing of the gilding, it is in very good condition. It dates from the early 1930's.

This Royal Doulton tray features hand painted wild roses on a mottled ground. The pattern number is D6227. It measures 234mm X 183mm and is in excellent condition apart from some small gouges to the footrim that look like they may have happened in the factory when the clay was moist. The date mark is for 1948.

This Royal Doulton plate features hand painted wild roses on a mottled ground. The pattern number is D6227. It is 200mm square. It is in excellent condition apart from a very faint 25mm scratch to the rim. The date mark is for 1951.

This Royal Doulton Arnhem tray features hand painted wild roses on a mottled ground. The pattern number is D6227. The dimesions are 295mm long and 242mm wide. It is in excellent condition and dates from 1940-5.
Royal Doulton stein
Royal Doulton stein-”Sea Shanty”. Item 2530
This Royal Doulton stein stands 142mm high and is in excellent condition with only some a small amount of crazing. The pattern number is D5847 which was introduced in 1937. This piece has the date mark for 1938. It features hand colouring over a printed pattern of sailors above the words of a sea shanty with another verse on the back.

This Doulton Burslem scalloped edged plate with an embossed pattern to the rim features hand painted chrysanthemums with all the outlines done in raised gilt work. Its condition is excellent and it dates from the period 1886-91. It is 232mm across.

This Royal Doulton charger decorated with the hand coloured Water Lily pattern(D. 6343) has a diameter of 345mm. Dating from around 1950 it is in excellent condition apart from some pronounced crazing to the centre of the plate.

This Doulton Burslem plate has a hand painted bough of raspberries, foliage and flowers as its decoration with all the outlines done in raised gilt work. The diameter is 230mm and it is in excellent condition. c. 1895

This shallow, square Doulton Burslem bowl has a centrepiece of hand painted flowers while the border is composed of raised cream paint, a painted border of blue and gilding. The piece rests on four legs with gilded highlights. Its condition is very good but there is some rubbing to the gilding on the rim. Its impressed date stamp is for June 1900. It is 208mm square and stands 50mm high.

This shallow, square Doulton Burslem bowl has a centrepiece of hand painted roses while border is composed of raised cream paint, a painted border of blue and gilding. The piece rests on four legs with gilded highlights. Its condition is very good but there is some rubbing to the gilding on the rim and a 10mm scratch to the painted area. Its impressed date stamp is for January 1901. It is 208mm square and stands 50mm high.

Pinder, Bourne, Co. sauce tureen
Pinder, Bourne & Co. hand coloured and gilded sauce tureen on stand. Item 1155
We have included this Pinder, Bourne & Co. sauce tureen on stand in the Royal Doulton page as Doulton had purchased Pinder, Bourne in 1878 and this piece is dated September 1881. This factory later became Doulton Burslem. The lid of this attractive sauce tureen and is decorated with a hand coloured scene of a boy lying in a field playing a flute, with two butterflies flying above him. The body is decorated by gilding and a printed pattern, whilst the stand has half a dozen coloured butterflies and insects. Its condition is very good, with some rubbing of the gilding, a small chip to the inside rim and a very minor chip to one handle The overall height(including the stand) is 138mm with the stand being 230mm long and 152mm wide.

This Doulton Burslem plate has, as its decoration a spray of hand painted foliage with all outlines in raised gilding. It measures 228mm across and is in very good condition with some slight rubbing to the gilding on the rim. Part of the footrim is missing and it appears that this style of plate was pressed out and then the footrim was added later- it has not affected the plate at all. It dates from 1884-91.

This Doulton Burslem plate has a colourful painting of poppies with all outlines done in raised gilt work. There is some slight rubbing of the gilding on the rim and a small area of the line of the main stalk- otherwise it is in very good condition. Its diameter is 226mm and dates from the period 1884-91.

This 212mm high Royal Doulton vase has a band of gilt filigree to the top and hanging boughs of hand coloured flowers on a creamy porcelain body. It is in excellent condition apart from two tiny chips to the rim. It has an impressed manufacture date of 2nd. January 1929.
