Bennett’s Adelaide flower trough with frog. Item 2903.This Bennett’s Pottery of Adelaide flower trough is in excellent condition and has retained its original frog. The outside of the trough has a dimpled texture, over which flow a buff glaze beneath a dark brown glaze, augmented with splashes of a duck egg blue. The frog is decorated with the same glazes. The length is 247 mm, the width 117 mm and it stands 103 mm high. There is a chip to the base – as can be seen in the photo below – which cannot be seen from the front, and firing crack to one end of the frog. This is a fairly heavy piece weighing 2.8 kg fully packed. It dates from the 1930’s.
