The Lincoln Imp is a carved grotesque on a wall inside Lincoln Cathedral, and is now a symbol of the Cathedral and of the city of Lincoln in Lincolnshire, England. Legend has it that the Imp was sent to Lincoln by the devil to create havoc, but was turned into stone by an angel.
