Brown-Westhead and Moore comport pattern 5792 Mow-Cop. Item 4459.This Brown-Westhead and Moore comport is decorated with their pattern 5792, entitled “Mow-Cop”. The pattern – Rd. No. 70235 – was registered on the 21st of March 1887, and consists of pansies, cyclamen and foliage. The base is impressed with the T C Brown-Westhead and Moore stamp, but it difficult to photograph as it has filled with the glaze. The comport has a diameter of 240 mm (9.5 inches) and stands 75 mm (3 inches) high. There is some loss of the colour to the rim and some faint knife marks to the centre. It dates from the period 1887-1890.
