Brown-Westhead and Moore gilded cup and saucer. Item 4184.Brown-Westhead and Moore were the makers of this good quality porcelain cup and saucer which is decorated with raised gilding on a cobalt blue ground. The flowers are done in gold and the leaves in green with gilt outlines. The cup shape is was registered in 1868 and is listed as “Empress”. The pattern number is K4450 which dates this piece to around 1885. It was retailed by F & C Osler of London and Birmingham. Originally suppliers of chandeliers, they later added furniture and china to their stock lists. It does have a very small loss of the gilding, but overall it is in very good condition.
