Christopher Dresser designed candlestick. Item 4343.This Dr. Christopher Dresser designed candlestick stands 157 mm high. It stands on a domed base of copper, with a knopped stem in brass and is crowned with a tulip-like wax catcher made of copper. The bobbin turned wooden handle is surmounted by brass finials. The manufacturer is usually attributed to Benham and Froud of London, but it may also have been made by James Henry Stone of Birmingham. It is in very good condition. The registered design number 53791 is stamped onto the base of the stem. The design was registered on the 10th of August 1886.
