Egg shaped wooden thimble holder

Egg shaped wooden thimble holder. Item 4322.This turned wooden thimble holder is decorated with different coloured paints to resemble a speckled egg. It measures 66 mm (2 5/8ths inches) in length with a diameter of 38 mm (1.5 inches). Overall in good condition, there is a small area where the paint is missing, as can be seen in the photo below. It would date from the latter part of the nineteenth century.
