Emily Bryce Carter three piece cruet set. Item 2112.This three piece cruet set is by the Sydney potter Emily Bryce Carter, who together with her son Eric, made pottery items in the 1930’s and 40’s. The salt and pepper shakers stand 80 mm high and have a diameter at the base of 40 mm. The mustard pot stands 63 mm to the top of the handle on the lid, and has a diameter of 50 mm at the top. Unfortunately there is some damage to all three pieces. The lid of the mustard pot has been repaired, the salt has lost a gumnut, and the pepper has some chips to the inside rim of the base which are not visible when it is standing. All three pieces are signed E Bryce Carter and all three have glaze instructions incised into the base. The set would date from the 1930’s.
