Ladies engraved Mother-of-pearl card case

Ladies engraved Mother-of-pearl card case. Item 2968.

Each diamond shaped panel on this Mother-of-pearl ladies card case is engraved with depictions of flowers and foliage and shows a lovely iridescence. I have taken the photos with different lighting to try and show this iridesence. The case is lined with red velvet and the opening edges are lined with ivory. There is also a small silver panel to the top to be engraved with the owners initials (it is currently blank). It measures 90 mm (3.75 inches) in height, 54 mm (2 1/8th inches) in width and 9 mm (3/8ths of an inch) in thickness. It is in very good condition C 1850.
