Gilded Chinoiserie papier mache pen tray. Item 3887. This papier mache pen tray is decorated with a gilt chinoiserie scene. It measures 270 mm (10.5 inches) in length and is 85 mm (3 5/8ths inches) in width. It does have some wear to the gilding on the rim and a 20 mm (3/4 inch) chip to the underside of the rim, as can be seen in the photos. C 1880.
