John Barnard Knight “Janet Gray” vase. Item 3047.This vase was made by the Australian potter and educator John Barnard Knight (1910-1995). “Janet Gray” was the name given to the studio he and his wife set up in South Yarra in the early 1940’s. This wheel thrown vase stands 157 mm high and measures 188 mm across the top. It is decorated with applied flannel flowers and covered in a textured white glaze that was popular in the 1950’s. It is in very condition.
