Majolica hand vase. Item 4400.This majolica glazed vase is made up of a ladies hand holding a bunch of bullrushes which forms the vase part. Her wrist is clothed in a ruffled sleeve, over which is a beaded bracelet, and she has an unusual ring on her index finger. It is unmarked so it will have to be acknowledged as of Staffordshire origin. It stands 218 mm, or 8.5 inches, high and is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. It would date from around 1860.
