Maling tea canister made for Rington’s Tea. Item 3743.

This large six sided blue and white tea caddy, or canister, was made by Maling for Rington’s Tea. The body is decorated with depictions of York Minster, Carlisle Cathedral, Ripon Cathedral, Hexham Abbey, Newcastle Cathedral and Selby Abbey with Durham Cathedral on the lid. It stands 190 mm (7.5 inches) high and is in excellent condition apart from a small chip to one of the corners of the lid, as can be seen, front and centre, in the photos. C 1930.
