Medal for dance awarded at Morongo Girls School 1921. Item 4265.This silver medal for dance was awarded to Una Handley at Geelong’s Presbyterian Girls School, in 1921. The front of the medal reads “Pres. Girls Geelong Una Handley”. The reverse is engraved with “Presented by Paul Bibron & Partners For Dancing 1921.” Beneath the inscription is stamped “SG SILVER”, which would indicate local manufacture. The school was founded in Geelong in 1920, and later moved to an old mansion named Morongo in 1927. Paul Bibron was a French dancing instructor based in Melbourne, who also gave lessons in Geelong.
