Merric Boyd jug. Item 2585.
This roughly textured jug by Merric Boyd has the upper portion glazed in a darker brown. It is not signed by Boyd but, in his handwriting is incised on the base “May Hiscock 1927 May ?-this name is hard to read – it could be Gough. Perhaps it was made as an engagement or wedding present. It stands 122 mm high with a 114 mm diameter at the top. It is in excellent condition apart from some light crazing.
