Pair of hand painted and gilded porcelain spill vases. Item 3912.This pair of porcelain spill vases is decorated with very attractive vertical panels of hand painted flowers and leaves on a pale yellow ground. Probably French, the vases rest on three gilded lions paw feet, which then stand on a round gilded plinth. They stand 112 mm, or 4.5 inches high. One of the vases has had a repair to the bottom of the plinth, and a repair to a crack that runs vertically down the side. c 1880.
