This parian bust of Queen Victoria is by Turner & Wood (c1880-88). It carries the impressed mark “Turner and Wood” and the initials “RJM Sc”. These are the initials of the sculptor R J Morris. The front of the base is impressed “Jubilee Bust”. The bust stands 180 mm in height and is in very good condition-its only blemish being some small chips to the base. The plinth stands 80 mm high and is unmarked so I’m not sure that it is by Turner and Wood. The front and rear are impressed with”Queen Victoria 1887″ and the two sides are impressed “Jubilee”. There are a number of small chips to the plinth, mainly on the base, and a slightly larger one to the top. There are also some soot marks from the kiln.
