Royal Doulton beaker “Where are you going to my pretty maid?”. Item 2678.

This Royal Doulton beaker is from the Nursery Rhyme A series designed by William Savage Cooper which was introduced in 1903. This beaker features the nursery rhyme “Where are you going to my pretty maid?”. The front shows the dandy and the milkmaid while the whole rhyme is printed on the back. It stands 88 mm high and dates from the period 1903-32. It has two small chips to the underside, which are barely visible when the piece is standing. There is also some slight rubbing of the gilding to the rim.
