Royal Worcester hand painted cup and saucer. Item 2030.

This attractive Royal Worcester cup and saucer is decorated with gilt encircled cartouches containing hand painted floral sprays on a dark blue ground. Each of the cartouches are surrounded by hand applied gilt jewels. There is also a spray of flowers in the bottom of the cup. Some of the gilding has rubbed and all three cartouches on the saucer have had some erosion to the gilt jewels closest to the centre, presumably from the base of the cup. The date mark is for 1878.
