Royal Worcester plate painted by Michelin Miller. Item 2054.

This Royal Worcester plate features a central hand painted spray of a single rose and rosebuds surrounded by a crimson and gilded border. It was painted by Michelin Miller who had been apprenticed to Kitty Blake and left Worcester in the late 1950’s to get married. It is in very good condition with two small glaze faults on the edge of the plate and two small scratches to the border. It is 279 mm (11 inches) in diameter and carries the date mark for 1953.
