Royal Worcester vase painted by Ethel Spilsbury. Item 2340.

This Royal Worcester vase stands 145 mm (5.75 inches) high and is decorated with a lovely vignette of red roses on a blush ivory ground. It was painted by Ethel Spilsbury who started at Royal Worcester before the First World War, and was trained in the Hadley style of flower painting. She became one of the principal painters at Worcester during the 1920’s and 30’s. This vase carries the date code for 1926 and is in excellent condition.
