Schumann hand painted cobalt charger. Item 3303.This very attractive hand painted charger was made by the Schumann company of Arzberg in Bavaria, Germany in the early 1950’s. The leaves and flowers are hand painted in gold, with the centre of each flower defined with a raised circle of white enamel (known as jewels), also done by hand. The decoration sits on a cobalt blue ground and the rim has been gilded. The diameter is 305 mm (12 inches). There are a few very minor scratches to the cobalt blue ground and some slight damage to one of the jewels.
