Set of four silver plated decanter labels. Item 4787.This set of four nicely detailed silver plated decanter labels feature vine leaves and bunches of grapes and are suspended from silvered chains. The labels are for gin, rum, brandy and whiskey, with the names being stamped through the label. The spelling of whiskey with an e is usually associated with Ireland and the United States. Whether these labels were made in those countries, or for those markets is unknown. They are 62 mm (2.5 inches) wide and 52 mm (2 inches) high. They are in very good condition, but some of the silvering to the chains has worn. They would date from the late 1800’s.
