Shelley cake plate Pattern 8622. Item 1769.

This Shelley cake plate is decorated with an unnamed pattern (pattern 8622) which was introduced in 1912 and is on the Gainsborough shape. The pattern is a delicate frieze of roses and lavender spikes hanging from a chain with a blue border. The diameter is 227 mm. There are quite a number of knife marks to the centre of the plate.
