Staffordshire figurine Mother Goose. Item 3712.
This delightful hand coloured Staffordshire figurine depicts Mother Goose mounted on a goose, holding a besom, or broom, and flying over a small stream. It dates from the late 1800’s and stands 180 mm (7 inches) high. There is a small firing crack just under the goose’s left wing, a small chip to the tip of the left wing, and some small areas of paint loss to the base.
