Walnut jewellery box with parquetry lid. Item 3805.This lid of this walnut jewellery box features an intricate parquetry panel with three rows of eight pointed stars surrounded by a geometric pattern. The original walnut lids to the lift out tray have very finely turned wooden knobs, but the tray itself is a replacement. The box measures 312 mm (12.25 inches) in width, 210 mm (8.25 inches) in depth and stands 108 mm (4.25 inches) in height. It has a warm mellow patina to it and it has retained its original key. C 1830.
