Wedgwood majolica napkin tray. Item 4350.This Wedgwood majolica tray is from their Argenta ware range which was introduced in 1878, and characterised by the use of paler glazes than previously used. The centre of the tray is decorated with the likeness of a woven napkin on a turquoise ground. Each end is is finished with bamboo handles tied with rope, together with bamboo leaves. The pattern number is M 2171. The tray is 321 mm (12.75 inches) in length and 255 mm (10 inches) in width, and is in very good condition. The date code is for 1878.
