Royal Worcester cupid figurine “Dancing Cupids”. Item 2455

Standing 195 mm (7.75 inches) high this very attractive Royal Worcester cupid figurine is from a set of four figures entitled “Dancing Cupids”, the set having been modelled by James Hadley. It carries the shape number 466. He stands on a rocky base and is blowing a rams horn, whilst his right hand holds a sceptre. The painting of the face has been done most delicately and the whole piece is in excellent condition. The date would be from around 1875. Item 4193 on this website is another piece from the set.
