Description
F & R Pratt Imari patterned two handled mug pattern 340. Item 3618. This two handled mug by F & R Pratt of Fenton in Staffordshire stands 114 mm (4.5 inches) high with the body having a diameter of 113 mm (4.5 inches). Possibly a cider mug, it is hand coloured and gilded with the Imari pattern colours of underglaze blue and onglaze iron red. Although it is unmarked, it corresponds with later marked specimens which carry the same pattern and pattern number – No. 340. It is in reasonable condition with some crazing, some slight loss of the gilding, and a crack to the base as shown in the photo. C1840.
