New Hall porcelain tea bowl. Item 4750.This New Hall porcelain tea bowl is decorated on the outside with a main floral spray of a large rose, a rosebud and smaller flowers. On the inside is an iron red line to the rim, below which is an undulating leafy line in puce which is interspersed with flowers. It is unmarked, but the pattern (pattern 312) is illustrated on page 14 of Preller’s book “A partial reconstruction of the New Hall Pattern Book” 2003. The diameter is 90 mm (3.5 inches) and it stands 52 mm (2 inches) high. It is in very good condition and dates from around 1790.
