Hilditch porcelain slop bowl Garden Tea Party pattern. Item 4751.This porcelain slop bowl was made by the Hilditch factory of Lane End, Staffordshire. It is decorated with their printed and hand coloured chinoiserie pattern named Garden Tea Party. The pattern shows two women and a child on a terrace surrounded by large exotic blooms, and is applied to both sides as well as having a smaller print inside the bowl. The diameter is 167 mm (6.5 inches) and it stands 83 mm (3.25 inches) high. Some grit from the kiln has adhered to the glaze in the centre of the bowl and there are some discoloured areas to the inside of the rim. C 1830.
